Tall and broad and impeccably tailored in a way that makes him seem a little old-fashioned, but somehow modern too. Appropriate, really for the theme of the conference. He’s wearing a green waistcoat that looks like it’s made from velvet and Penelope knows it would feel decadent beneath her hands. The particular shade brings out the depths of the blue in his eyes and that smirk, well… “Colin Bridgerton,” he announces, holding out his hand, and she reaches to shake it after only a moment's hesitation but he does not shake. No, the man bows his head and presses his lips quite delicately against the skin of her knuckles with a wink. Fuck. That shouldn’t be so attractive. It’s such an obvious move, but he has a way of pulling it off that lends itself to charming, especially when he follows it all up with a rather cheeky grin, like he knows he’s being just a little bit ridiculous. He’s speaking again before she even has a chance to form words. “Dr Penelope Featherington, I am very pleased to be making your acquaintance.”
