In sperm whales, the feeding behaviors and patterns are cultural as well-- passed down through the matriarchal line. Each pod has their own, unique way of doing things-- I wonder if this is the same in humpbacks? Or do all pods exhibit similar patterns?

One of my favorite places to visit as a child was built by the civilian conservation corps. It's now an environmental science center.
