Finding my way…✨💖 #gymnerd #basketball #trackandfield #music
Time will tell who’s really about it when the rubber actually meets the road (think Amritsar, but with drones), but we’re up against true believers this time. You gotta have that dog in you and be a true believer in something yourself to even have a prayer….and that’s just not most Americans 🤷🏽‍♀️

Resistance isn’t glamorous. It’s bloody. It’s thankless. And that was before the comfort and excess of America today. No one wants to be tortured or to see their loved ones be tortured in the name of doing “the right thing”. More than half of us still can’t even grasp the gravity of this moment.

There’s a reason why every. single. attempt at reformation within Christianity has failed. Denying facts so one can distance oneself from MAGA to feel better about oneself isn’t helpful right now. If you believe in Christianity, own it for what it is fully, and then be the change. No excuses.

“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.” Matt. 7:18. A thing that is inherently good cannot be corrupted by the intentions of bad people, and a thing that is inherently bad cannot be reformed despite the best intentions of well-meaning people.

Everyone wants to distance themselves from Christian Nationalism, but the truth is that, as a rule, Christianity is no more a “real” reflection of Jesus than Christian Nationalism is.

It’s very, very easy to find an accurate breakdown of Christian history, both from a global perspective and its impact in the US, specifically. If you are a Christian in the US today, you have a responsibility both to learn that history and to be honest about the implications of it.

And that isn’t to say that being a Christian is “wrong,” but it IS to say that Christians as a collective have never had a healthy ability to balance faith with individual autonomy and what the government’s responsibility should be in maintaining those boundaries. To suggest otherwise is dishonest.

Christian Nationalism was an inevitability of white American evangelicalism and while many may not agree with *all* of what’s happening right now, plenty of “real Christians” are still aligned with Christian Nationalism on certain issues of “morality” and “traditional family values” etc.

“Real” Christians not understanding how they, too, are complicit in enabling the systems that ultimately spawn something like Christian Nationalism. Because white supremacy isn’t just racism. It’s homophobia. It’s patriarchy. It’s sexism. It’s control through fear and ideological manipulation.

Our country is incredibly racist, misogynist and deeply uneducated. The majority of people have no idea how the world works or how the complex systems we have in place work together. They can't comprehend the economy let alone look at the data and make decisions. America is a mess run by idiots.
