I save all the intermediary plots to a folder with {camcorder}. I then use a small script to resize the images and stick them together to a video (basically camcorder creates the gif and then ffmpeg converts the gif to mp4)

Good question. TidyTuesday is more exploratory/chaotic. I always start by looking at the data and making simple plots, then iterate on them. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. I try new ones. Sometimes I read on the subject to find a good story. Sometimes I ask LLMs. Whatever works!
