Today is the 3rd anniversary of my husband's passing. It's complicated. There were good times, but neither of us were emotionally healthy for much of our marriage. I have done a lot of work through therapy. But days like this are still hard to navigate.

Needed a good binge watch. Decided to try out Nobody Wants This. While it was only 10 30-min episodes (so not a long binge), it definitely hit the spot. So glad season 2 is happening...

A really nice write-up of the discovery and implications of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), including lots of anecdotes from R. Wilson (1 of the 2 discoverers). It's basically impossible to overstate the importance of the CMB for our understanding of cosmology & the Universe's evolution. 🧪🔭

One of my first 9th-grade students just posted a photo of her oldest child's first day of middle school. Monday would be Joey's 18th birthday. I think I might be old.

This morning I got 20k in. 5k more than last week, and still kept my same pace. Definitely going to meet my time goal.

It was already too humid/hot for my planned workout this morning. I still ran intervals, but not at the pace originally scheduled. I'll still be better because of it. #everyrunhasapurpose #chicagomarathontraining

In previous marathons, my focus was just to finish. This time I have a time goal (13:40 pace to break 6 hours). I'm definitely on track...
