One of my projects during the con I was chaperoning at was working on samples for an upcoming commissionable series of 'mystery dragons' of various complexity tiers.

My dice seem to be rather fond of serpents and fungi...
A cleaned pen and pencil sketch render of a serpentine dragon with stunted wings it props its head and torso up with like an amphithere. The head is long and serpentine with prominently exposed teeth, and adorned with a beard of moss and crown consisting of tree and spear mushrooms giving way to more moss and pebble mushrooms along the long coiling spine. The wings are similarly covered from the forearms and partly down across the membranes with more tree mushrooms like scaling, and the tail tip is adorned with a splay fan of the same fungal growths of the mane.

Last year I was dabbling with creating a series of dice-lists to generate mystery dragons as a challenge. This fellow was drawn partially at an airport, partially on a plane, and finished at my family's place while I was visiting.

Transcript - Nobody is quite sure why the Twin-Tailed Screamer has a reputation for claiming old storage tanks as part of its territory. Perhaps they use them as nesting grounds?

I realized I had let this account gather dust long enough, and decided it's time to start filling it up after getting asked at a recent convention if I in fact, have a Bluesky.

We're kicking off the posts tonight with a pair of test badges featuring two of my characters, Ghilli and Olani!
A traditionally drawn illustration bust of a creature with shaggy dark fur, leaves and ferns for a mane along its neck, large amber-colored claws with similar spines along the forearm, and bone-like plating along the tops of the fingers and covering the head in a skeletal effect. The head looks like a crested dragon with glowing eyes, upon which one bird is about to land, as another is perching on the creature's uplifted hand. There is a background 'window' of knotted wood and moss showing an abstract field in the distance, and the creature is resting their other hand upon a wooden sign carved with the name 'Ghilli" A traditionally rendered bust image of a dragon-like creature with an elongated owl-like head, long ears, thick neck, a fin-like structure on their back, and part of their wing holding onto the opposite corner of a green sign where their forefeet are also resting upon. The green sign bears curving filigree, and bears the name "Olani" on it. Behind the creature is a green-bordered circle leading into bubbles, and containing a gradient background filled with additional bubbles suggesting an aquatic environment. The art style is cartoonish, with simplified spots along the head and shoulders.
