I am from TX originally and have camped in Kerrville and along the banks of the Guadalupe. I've floated it in the summer many times.

I don't remember if we had a choice, but it's possible. I had the same teacher the next year and I got my extra credit by memorizing the Prelude to the Canterbury Tales in Middle English: Here bygynneth the Book of the tales of Caunterbury.
