I love doing CRT modding! This is a friend’s Sony KV-27V42. It has composite and S-Video, but no component or RGB. The BA-4D chassis is very moddable. Added component and RGB. Just need to wire the switch tomorrow.

A couple recent pickups. The Famicom 3D system only had about 8-10 games that’s were compatible. This is the much rarer Sharp branded system (to pair with the Twin Fami of course) #retrogaming #Famicom

Saved an OG Xbox. First, no power. Fixed with recap. Had a hard drive error, so I installed a Modchip. Got it to boot, but would shut off after a minute or so. Found trace rot. Bypassed the bad traces, and we’re up and running!

Saved another Gameboy DMG thanks to N64 Freak’s excellent motherboard repro. Some cheap components, a little chip transplant, and we’re up and running. Going to do a backlight mod on this (which is a pain, but love the look) #retrogaming #gameboy

Started getting into CRT modding. This 13 in Sony only had Composite/RF, but by the end it will have RGB, YPbPr, and S-Video. Modding it so I can use the TV inputs to switch instead of a bunch of physical switches. #retrogaming #crt

Another bad clock capacitor on the OG Xbox (plus a bad CPU cap). If you have an OG Xbox, and it isn’t a v1.6 board, get that clock cap replaced!

Sonic CD on the PVM 1442Q. Genesis system has been modified with a Quadruple Bypass for S-Video. Waiting for some shielded speakers to play games with RGB (this model PVM doesn’t do audio with RGB) #crt #sega #retrogaming
