The department’s processing backlog hurts your #cashflow, & the interest you should get is only meaningful if the delay wasn’t your doing.

Until the refund hits your account...
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
At the end of the day, delayed refunds aren’t just inconvenient — they cost you #money in interest lost.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
These small steps often make the difference between a #refund in weeks and one in months.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
For you, the taxpayer, the takeaway is simple: stay proactive. Check your refund status via #PAN on the e-Filing portal, ensure your bank account is pre-validated and linked to PAN/Aadhaar, and respond promptly to any notice.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
But the key #caveat: you must be in the “clear list”. If your return is still under review, the wait continues.

What’s your refund timeline look like now? #CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal says the remaining refunds — for returns without red flags — are expected to be issued by December 2025.

So why isn’t the interest automatic? Because delays caused by the taxpayer (filing late, errors in return, unverified bank account) disqualify you from interest. Also, if your refund is deemed small, or is adjusted against earlier #tax demands, interest may not apply.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
But this is only if you filed your #ITR on time and the delay is not on your end.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
Here’s what you should know about #interest on late refunds: under Section 244A of the Income-Tax Act, if your refund is delayed due to departmental reasons (not your mistake), you are eligible for interest at a rate of 0.5 % per month (i.e., ~6 % per annum).
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
Simply put — your refund won’t land unless your bank details, #Aadhaar-PAN linkage and ITR data all check out. The Income Tax Department’s own user manual says refunds usually take about 4–5 weeks after filing and verification, but even that timeframe is now stretched.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
High-value claims, complex #income sources and mismatches between ITRs and Form 26AS or AIS are triggering manual checks.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
#Refunds are being processed in batches. According to official sources, “low-value” refunds or simpler cases have been credited, but many are held up because returns are flagged for deeper review.
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 AM
The Central Board of Direct Taxes - #CBDT has acknowledged delays across tens of thousands of returns — and the reasons are more than just bureaucracy.

At the end of the day, this listing wasn’t just about shares — it was about expectations. And while #Lenskart has built a strong foundation, the premium paid by investors leaves little room for error.

Until the market sees the momentum match the hype…
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
For Lenskart’s management, the message is clear: this IPO may mark the beginning of a public journey — but the path ahead demands execution. Founder #PeyushBansal has said the listing is “Day Zero,” yet now the pressure is on to convert brand strength into consistent profits.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Third, the broader backdrop matters. In an #IPO season crowded with consumer tech names and glitzy listings, investors are increasingly demanding proof of sustainable earnings, not just growth narratives. Lenskart’s early debut highlighted that shift.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Second, the grey market premium or #GMP — a pre-listing sentiment indicator — crashed dramatically. From levels over ₹100, it plunged to single-digit levels just ahead of the listing, suggesting the hype train derailed before take-off.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
At a reported net profit of ₹297 crore on revenue of about ₹6,652 crore, Lenskart’s #margins remained slim and largely driven by non-cash gains.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
At one point, the stock fell as much as 11% from the issue price before stabilising — a clear sign that investor enthusiasm had cooled. Why the lukewarm reception? First, valuations were frothy. #Analysts pointed out a price-to-earnings multiple exceeding 200× on FY 2025 profits.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
The company secured a valuation near ₹69,800-₹70,000 crore (~US $7.7 billion) at listing. However, the market was less impressed. On listing, shares opened at roughly ₹390 on the #BSE and ₹395 on the NSE, both below the issue price of ₹402.
November 11, 2025 at 7:09 AM
But when the #shares hit the market on 10 November 2025, the modest debut exposed the cracks. Lenskart priced its shares between ₹382 and ₹402, and its IPO raised around ₹7,278 crore — a mix of fresh equity and offer-for-sale.

At the end of the day, Bira 91 isn’t launching a new flavour — it’s racing to settle old bills. The asset sale might buy a little breathing space, but the real test will be when operations restart and trust rebuilds.

Until the ledgers clear and the taps flow again…
November 7, 2025 at 2:47 PM
For everyday observers and small-share investors, the takeaway is simple. A trendy #startup with a cool brand isn’t immune to basic business risks. When payrolls stop, creditors stir, and board room letters go out, the story has moved beyond hype into heavy-duty survival mode.
