A misanthropic left wing straightedge punk behind enemy lines in Appalachia.
Pretty sure I have Captain Trips. Fuck you, Stu Redman.

Going from binging season 2 of Peacemaker to watching a few more episodes of the first season of The Pitt was total whiplash in terms of tone and their relationships to violence.

I fucking hate fireworks. I’m also fairly certain someone in my neighborhood just unloaded a gun into the air to mark the start of the new year. Whoever it was, I hate that guy even more.

Spent some time finally starting The Pitt tonight, so now I have to decompress by going on TT and watching cats snuggle with babies and ferrets shop at pet supply stores.

When Smashing Pumpkins comes up on streaming and you hear Billy Corgan trying his best, but it dawns on you the wrong Chicago-area band went by the name Screeching Weasel.

Never been a morning person but starting to think of this part of my life as early mourning.

🎵…I'm searching for something which can't be found, but I'm hoping…I still dream of dad, though he died…Everything dies…🎵

I’m straightedge, so my idea of the “Everclear Challenge” is trying to listen to “Father of Mine” without any major childhood traumas flaring back up.

“All I Want for Christmas” season is a thousand times more horrifying and torturous than anything witnessed around Halloween and the whole month of October.

I looked for a baseball at a Dollar General a block away from the kid with the bat but they had none. When I first saw him, he barely moved out of the way of an oncoming car. Really, it had to swerve around him. Felt like he was making a statement about his life already. Part asshole. Part given up.

Things I saw out in a walk today: an elderly homeless couple walking slowly down a main thoroughfare carrying sleeping bags and a little boy, elementary school age, standing in the middle of a quiet side street, tossing up and hitting a rock with an aluminum baseball bat. So Appalachia.

Starting to be convinced I’m the only pedestrian in my town who actually uses the sidewalks instead of the middle of the damn street.

Can’t be bothered to acknowledge any humans but I say at least “hi” to every cat I see when I’m out on a walk.

I seem to remember a time where we’d get to ease into a new season. Autumn is my favorite season but going into the chills seemingly overnight is a bit much.
