She also gave me an as needed prescription for a med that relieves some of the actual aura so it tones the migraine down to closer to a regular headache

Big recommend mentioning it to a dr, even if your primary can't do anything they can refer you. I had the exact same frequency and mentioned it to my primary and she put me on a daily med (that coincidentally also works as my antidepressant) and now I am down to 1-3 migraines a month
