nothing to be done now but figure out where to go next but ughhh this career thing is really hard given the circumstances around every single transition. i graduated during the gd lockdown and I gotta transition out of a postdoc during this bs.

if it wasnt for the first bit, I would have stuck it out and gotten a better position for 2x the salary. that wasnt going to work for my mental health. so i became an immunologist in academia instead

it paid like shit and required a 6 day workweek (45 hrs) minimum for a salary that was extremely low for the area. so it wasn't great regardless.
