I agree with all of that except the first sentence. Trump is not in potential political trouble for raping children, he is in potential political trouble for raping children out of wedlock. Given the character limit, I can't always communicate as precisely as I'd like.

Maybe everyone HERE knows he's a pedophile. But nationally, I'd put the number at less than 30%.
They do know he's a racist AND misogynist, and that is what his supporters love about him. But they also think that Democrats are the real pedophiles, not him.

Your description of the event is what I'm getting at. He yelled "Quiet piggy" when asked if he was implicated in the epstein files. I think that context is important, and needs to be the focus of the headline. Everyone already knows he's a misogynist, and sadly most people are OK with it.

Look, everyone with more than 4 brain cells to rub together already sees the connection between rape and misogyny, but for the other 90% of the voting population, it helps if the headlines aren't focusing on mean words.

Wow, this is a more controversial take than I'd expected. I've never had to block someone before, I prefer to keep seeing the things I disagree with, but when someone characterizes my post as a "rape fantasy" it crossed a line.

Most people here are already fully aware. But there are terrifyingly ignorant people out there, and headlines focusing on the mean words just push them into the "Trump makes low gas prices and mean tweets" narrative.

They might be, but in the past it was easier to make the argument that Trump didn't rape children. It's never been possible to rationally argue that Trump wasn't a misogynist. It's basically his core brand.
