In reality, the tech imaged one at a time and my breast tissue was lightly compressed on top by a clear plastic plate. The most uncomfortable part was my armpit being near the corner of the bottom plate. It wasn't painful at all.

I have a colleague who studies Elephant seals and uses K for anesthesia while doing blood draws and hormone challenges. Has a special locker within a locker to keep it safe.
