Glass artist on hiatus, lover of cats, science fiction and other nerdy things, knitting 🧶, crochet, and my wonderful husband. No kids, pagan, medically fragile, progressive liberal. Gen-X, Pacific Northwesterner #MS
Progress on my first brioche knit 🧶 project - a cowl. It’s going slowly because you’re essentially doing each row twice I think. It’s a compact stitch so the fabric is thick and soft and so delightfully squishy. And I love how the solid dark teal looks against the bright stripes.

The inexperienced, college age kids working for Elon Musk to attempt the takeover of the treasury and all of our money and information. Musk was not elected and not confirmed, and these kids don’t have any authority to do anything legally. This must stop. 🛑

Distracting myself on this horrible Friday night by learning brioche knitting 🧶. It’s fun but I am trying not to cry from all the terrible news. I’m glad to have a creative outlet to help keep my hands busy.

Super cute sweater I’m knitting 🧶 for a friends little boy. Love this stitch, and the self striping yarn. Almost done! Just the sleeve, cuff, and weaving in the ends. #knitting

Super cute romper for my cousin’s new baby finally finished! From an old printed pattern I’ve had for years. I actually used something I had on hand instead of looking online lol. Loved knitting with this superwash merino. Soft and squishy. 🧶 #knitting

More knitting 🧶, less BS.

Too many weirdos following me. Too much scrolling through political horror. Not enough calming content.

I mean, I know the world is a shitshow right now so what should I expect, right?

I love glass. For 20 years I was a glass bead maker. I adored my craft. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and since then I have had a bunch of medical issues. This has made it near impossible for me to torch, so I haven’t made a bead since. 💔 I hope to get back to it someday.

Knitting is one of the only things I am doing these days that keeps me from tearing my own hair out. This is a little romper I am knitting for a preemie in the family. It’s so teeny! The country is falling apart, but this is a nice distraction I am lucky to be able to do.
