Disagree! I think it’s cool and refreshing difference to the boring slabs of others

The issue isn’t that pharma is making too much money, it’s that a lot of money in the US goes to the middle man who isn’t making drugs and isn’t treating patients.

This is very simplistic - the reality is that pharma wastes billions and billions each year developing drugs that never make it. Smaller companies such a biotechs need to raise money from investors constantly. If investors can make more money in other sectors, like tech or energy, they will.

I haven’t read their thinking but not sure how you evaluate drugs like immunotherapy or chemotherapy without considering efficacy. What’s a safe chemo dose? What level of immune suppression is okay without efficacy context?

Safety is always in the context of efficacy. Nearly all compounds are unsafe after a dose threshold. Without balancing that against desired efficacy, regulating safety doesn’t make sense imo

Oof not sure id agree with this black and white thinking. I have a couple of friends who are trump supporters, and we agree on a surprising amount. The weighting they put on aspects like character and threat to democracy are just much lower. We can agree on facts though so it’s good fun debating

Agree with this - would love to see more ‘right wing’ people on this app and discuss these important issues, but this is really only possible if we agree on basic facts and what constitutes reality. Difficult to debate flat earthers or other conspiracy theorists that are now mainstream ‘right wing’
