I cannot emphasize enough how many people are dead today who wouldn't be if any of these fucking journalists had done actual fucking journalism instead of serving the ruling class

This is 100% true... I may have taken a few days off, and may or have not played the game for 32 hours already

Oh, and the original word was probably something kinda like "selebe" but then "L" and "b" did a switcharoo because languages do that sometimes (case in point: sabre vs saber)

Either way it's the same word, and the reason it doesn't look like it is because French are fucking French and they couldn't comprehend a letter "L" despite taking so many of them, they just needed to add an "r" in there instead, just so they could refuse to pronounce it anyway.

"szablya", who took it either from Serbo-Croatian "sablja" (if the Avar route is true- in which case they took it from Avars who took it from some Turkic tribes in the middle of Asia on their way to europe), or Hungarians took it directly from some Turkic tribes while on their way to Europe.

Just say saber/sabre. It's all the same word just going through a hilariously long chain of it being loaned from one culture to another, starting in the middle of Siberia. You took the French word sabre, they took the German word "sable" who took the Polish word "szabla" who took the Hungarian word
