Personally I imagine Hikari as a setplay character. Fits her very strategic and tricky fighting style that relies on having the upper hand on her opponent.

Stormblood was REALLY eventful for Hikari!
Biggest moments I can think of for her is finally returning home(Hingashi AND Dalmasca), reuniting with her Dalmascan family after 30 years and having to step up for the sake of her allies and fend off Elidibus Zenos(she usually isn't much of a fighter)

Stormblood was REALLY eventful for Hikari!
Biggest moments I can think of for her is finally returning home(Hingashi AND Dalmasca), reuniting with her Dalmascan family after 30 years and having to step up for the sake of her allies and fend off Elidibus Zenos(she usually isn't much of a fighter)

Hikari is autistic!
She struggles with expressing emotions and is well versed in her fields which helps as she's a noble Hingan merchant and being hard to read is perfect for the world of Hingan politics.
At the same time it means she can come off as weirdly intimidating when she doesn't mean to.

I'm counting Hikari here as she did change appearance but it was through being stuck in the lifestream rather than something she willingly changed.
Also viera who gained miqo'te features like a tail and shorter height but keeping longer ears(headcanon) and lifespan

Hikari definitely falls into the perfect student president archetype who still remains pretty chill and up while also having that serious scary side to her.
She spends most of her time in the academy talking with the likes of G'raha. Outside of that she dropped out of basketball due to injury (1/2)

Both Hikari and Hebe(Hikari's Azem) are very similar in nature so it'd take her peers a fair amount of time before they discover something is off.

Con was originally meant to be from the Skatay Range and ends up in Hingashi due to the empire.
However I changed this to be that she was from Rabanastre as it just flowed a lot better with her personality and allowed me to give her some really interesting conflicts with family back home(1/2)

Funnily enough Con is very insecure about her height.
She was pretty much your average Viera until an incident regarding the life-stream happened which changed her appearance significantly, resulting in her being much shorter than she was which somewhat bothers her.

Con's echo functions fairly differently in the fact that instead of being able to see people's past she can only see the past through objects.
