I enter 2025 with the intention to tether home to a space of my own. To cultivate community around that space. I used to think the order was romantic love➡️mortgage➡️parenthood [family].
I realise how self limiting my concepts of ‘home’ were.

And yes I can use my logical brain to tell myself that there are a thousand ways to love, many ways to be a parent, home is a not a monolith, and that these are things everyone feels under the perpetual void that capitalism creates. But the feeling, the feeling is always present.

Love, companionship, safety, stability, healing, wonder, peace, self worth, community, family - are universal aspirations. And our Queer Timelines are often delayed, full of compromise, and it’s difficult to stay hopeful sometimes.
