I dont hate Rare DK, I think he looks good in the DK games Rare made, but I think once nintendo got ahold of him again when Rare got bought, he kinda lost that appeal that he had. The redesign feels fresh in a way that makes him look more approachable in my eyes

I very much prefer the new design and it's not even close if I can be honest
