Aw that stinks. I buy books for my library's collection and I'm always looking for new books that no other library has, and bsky is good for that. Between this and "Heaven Breaker" I guess it's back to the hunt. Thanks for the info!

Goddamn, Emily. I bought the J9 trilogy years ago and have been wait for the right time to watch them, but other shows get in the way. I think you've just destroyed those other shows and put J9 (J9! Nasakemuy!!) on the top.

BAKI. It's one of the most demented anime I've ever seen; weirdly animated; absolute nonsensical writing and acting...and it's soooo goddamn compelling that I can't stop thinking about it.

...I mean, I remember thinking "Why would Jews want to kill *checks notes* the King of the Jews? Also, the Romans didn't like Jews?" It took me years to realize that historical hatred made no sense, and people will come up with the dumbest reasons to excuse cruelty.

What I was always fascinated by was that growing up Muslim, we were always told that Jesus was crucified by the Romans. It wasn't til I was older did I hear from people with Christian backgrounds that "it were dem Jews" and that confused me so much...
