The sportsball did not finish as I wanted, but oh boy, did everyone give it their all. Penny survived and got sweet potato snax, freeze-dried sardines, and some of my cheesies. She's safe until spring because I don't follow the icy sportsball.

Penny has a VIP seat to the game - 90 minutes north of the city with cheaper snax.

I really hope that Blowhole isn't offering online courses in auto maintenance. Penny is thoroughly inspecting my car.

My Mom has enough stuff, so for her birthday gift, I booked a 90-minute cruise for the family near my brothers' cottage. We were rewarded with perfect weather.

Between visits to my local fair, I spent the weekend cleaning and reorganizing my kitchen. It was exhausting for Penny. (Her food has not been moved - my folks are going to have to adapt to the coffee maker and sugar having new homes, but I wouldn't do that to Penny.)

Penny recommends digging in the mud if you're looking for a relaxing activity today.

Happy Friday. My mom finally left for her long weekend to visit her best friend in rural QC. My SIL stopped in this morning, & we took Penny for a walk. Penny wondered where Auntie Jennifer was when we did out after work walk. My SIL brought a 5' stick for Penny because she is awesome.

I just started a full week of vacation. The first part will be puttering at home, and then I have a small road trip to catch up with friends from university. It's my 1st Summer vacation in 4 years, so I'm very excited. Almost as excited as Penny is now that we restocked he favourite liver snax.

She says thanks back. She can make her big stick into little sticks while I make sure the BBQ doesn't have a fire.

A year ago, we had just started looking at shelter postings when this pretty girl showed up in my feed. We met her the following week, and Penny (formerly Buttercup) moved home that weekend.

Penny is afraid she will never get a lunchtime walk again. It is 35C, so we are sticking with early morning and late night walks (she gets backyard potty breaks in the day, but we have to coax her back in with a treat so she doesn't bake out there).

Here is a happy Penny having a car ride after her walk.

Penny needs to share this spectacular stick with her friends around the world.

Penny has had a busy and fun long weekend.

I cannot win with this girl. I'm holding her lead so she has free range of the shady deck, and she finds a loophole.
June 23, 2025 at 9:32 PM
All Penny wants to do is bake her head in the sun, and her mean human is making her stay in the shade. We have a tiny breeze on the deck, so it is very nice right now.

She is good. Being the head of our neighbourhood watch is a big job, but she is up to the task.

If they are opening it to all breeds, Penny is in. She loves to pull and is excellent at eating, sleeping, and pooping. She can borrow my sleeping bag.

Penny has smol frens. She just watches chipmunks, but our squirrels are fair game for chasing. The red squirrels sit on a branch just above the top of the fence yelling at her. We're replacing the 40 year old fence next month.

We had a busy weekend finishing the veggie garden. Penny managed to entertain herself in the yard while we worked in the garden. We set up her new dog pool. Last year, she was a menace (destroyed her pool & tantrums when we would work in the garden). Days like this remind me how far she has come.

The cows are back!!!! The field at the end of my road has cattle roaming all Summer.

Get well soon, Pete. Penny says rest and snax are very important.

Pepper has been gone for over 20 years, and we still use her as an example of goodness and joy. If someone is a Pepper, they may not have the most common sense, but their kindness will be off the chart.
