Ume’s still working on her swimming behind the scenes. Current goal: face and snoot fully submerged for more than a few seconds. Not quite there yet, but she gave it her absolute snorkelest. Lifeguard (supportive tapir mom Yuna) and the care team are on standby with endless encouragement and snacks.

I bought a horse in Oblivion just for me to get jumped by two mountain lions and a troll and it getting killed. I love this game

Meet Riley! Our newest addition, a 13-year-old female harbor seal, joined our family from Riverbanks Zoo & Garden. Riley is settling in nicely and getting comfortable in her new home. Her keepers say she is a bit shy but incredibly sweet as she’s adjusting to life here.

Baby Ume is now 79 pounds and eating more solid foods with her mom, Yuna. She is looking to her mom for guidance and often "mirrors" what Yuna is doing. 💕

Hoppy World Frog Day! 🐸 Meet Kramer, our adult Solomon Island leaf frog. Solomon Island leaf frogs lack a tadpole stage and hatch directly from eggs as fully-developed froglets. We currently have a few growing froglets behind the scenes that are the size of a skittle.

Baby Ume and her mom, Yuna, are enjoying a meal together! The 45-day-old tapir calf now weighs 79 pounds. Although the growing calf eats food, like romaine and bran, she will continue to nurse until around six months old.

I remember when I was like 8, I would come home after being bullied and play Shadow The Hedgehog just to do the evil routes and pretend the G.U.N soldiers I shot were my bullies. Not sure how that wasn’t more concerning back then. Good times, man. #Sonic
