Mine did it with a red box and a bold white CPU OVERHEAT text that jumpscared me bad the first time I'd had it. The temperature limit for the messages seems p low & it's probably just thinking "if we're this hot this fast something's gone wrong" but usually it's just leftover heat and no big deal

Did you restart after using your computer intensively for a while? my previous setup would throw "CPU HOT!" errors if I restarted after gaming for a bit but it was nothing to actually worry about.
