It just makes me a little sad that the writers seem to want to throw out all the old world building and lore and start over fresh. But a lot of it is so fun and cool :(

I didn't enjoy the way they played so fast and loose with the lore tho. Really rubbed me the wrong way. As someone who has no nostalgia for this series (played origins for the first time in 2022) it really felt like the writers did not give a fuck about any of the established world building

Okay but real talk, overall I had a good with veilguard. The game play is fun and the environments are stunning. I didn't get nearly as attached to my Rook as the previous DA protagonist but I did eventually warm up to them once I got the vibe the writers were aiming for
