working on a piece for a friend whose pet passed away a few weeks ago. Planning on finishing it up before thanksgiving and getting it printed and framed and handing it to him in person when i go to visit him.

I feel like I actually have a problem with too detailed sketches, it definitely looks nice but theres lots of areas where I feel like I could save time. Tho I guess part of me is worried I'd forget the detail I wanna add i guess its just note taking. Ive definitely been practicing rendering w/o them

oh. my. god. this is turning out really well. An artist told me that he uses color dodge @ a low fill for lighting and it works REALLY well, the 2nd image is the lighting layer with hard light 3rd is with color dodge

thanks! I figured the ear part would be adjustable be adjustable on a slide and the legs attached to the frame would be able to slide forwads and backwards

I have to keep reminding myself where its ok and inadvisable (timewise) to make sure EVERYTHING is as the reference says. Someone might mention that a dial is incorrect in an f18, but no one is gonna say "oh you drew the struts of that ABCCANOPY S1 Commercial Pop Up Canopy Tent with Sidewalls wrong"

this is taking really long but its gonna be sooo worth it, I started using the lasso tool to get hard edges with the fur and its been really worth it. makes it really easy to pop out fur clumps

figured out a neat way to make the marks on a clock/dial using 'i's and photoshops path + text tool :3. gonna hopefully be really useful for cockpits n stuff
