I'm surprised that he didn't just put it out there for naming rights like a sports stadium

I was just thinking about it is all - believe it? Probably not. Got myself into a thought exercise one day about whether or not we would be able to detect time ebbs and flows if they existed.

Time is speeding up, but we can't detect it because we can't get outside of the relative influence.

This is why it seemed as though a year was forever as a kid, but a year seems like a couple months to your body now. Your body can sense something happening, but we can't measure it.

LOL - because obviously local eggs, by the Warner treaty signed by Foghorn Leghorn, need to be shipped through the Panama Canal. If we control the Canal, we no longer have to pay for passage through the Canal lowering the price of eggs!

Part of me wants to do this, the other part is hoping that it was all bluster to rile up the base, and we actually get an adult in office who doesn't drive the country off the cliff...

Geez, I'm an eternal optimist and I just laughed 'yeah, right' as I wrote the second part of that.

This is Galadriel

That pic has been my background on both screens since it was first available! It's just about the perfect pic.

I saw once where someone was arguing to ban 'Lord of the Rings' because Gandalf 'rose from the dead' like Jesus, and therefore it was a mockery of Christianity.

It was actually burned in New Mexico for 'being satanic'.

So definitely, if you plan on rereading masterpieces, get hard copies

4/ I'm a disabled 64-year old who lived an extremely healthy lifestyle before I was disabled by an illness. It would have happened no matter what Oz and RFK jr. were selling, or whatever. I would have been homeless long ago with the 'healthcare' they will push. Maybe that's what they want.

3/ is to get more people screened, seeing doctors on a consistent basis, on preventative medicine, so that those catastrophic and expensive cases DON'T happen.

But that doesn't allow much room for the grifters and crazies like Oz and RFK jr. to get their pseudo-science in.

2/ as if he's basically saying that this is his great plan to get health care costs down: Just cover healthcare for catastrophic illnesses.

The problem is, the healthcare AND the insurance industry have tried this already, and came to the conclusion that the best way to keep total health costs down

So Sarah McBride coming into the restroom scares her more than the trans male who argued with Ben Shapiro on Jubilee's Surrounded?

Women who look male using the women's bathroom because they were born women? Would she be scared of that?

Are we going to check everyone's privates to be sure?

Methinks there will be some shade thrown or nuance on that nomination that I just don't see in the rest of T's picks.
November 20, 2024 at 4:11 PM
The most temporary position ever? Isn't T going to pull us out of NATO?
November 20, 2024 at 4:03 PM
They have a window here to raise prices and have it blamed on Biden.

Scenario: Prices go up between now and Jan because of T campaign rhetoric. Someone snapshots the price of things on Jan 20 and THAT is what they compare to for inflation under T, even though T caused the increases pre Jan 20

It will become relevant to them again in 2 or 4 years, whenever they have elections to run for. It's a boogeyman they can bring up from election to election, and they know the people who can be swayed by it won't remember what happened in 2024-early 2025.

Not a vet - but already made sure I have my orders in for durable medical supplies, etc. as well. Not sure which ones are made in the US and which might be quickly affected by potential tariffs.
