I used to do this journey everyday for work in Spain. For a nearly 2 hour commute it was around 3 euros for a return. The trains were always on time and would run in any kind of weather. Puts the British rail system to shame!

If you ever take the Ruta de Plata all the way toothed north coast, there are some incredible cities. Oviedo, Leon, Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela, to name a few!
