Yes in the grand scheme Next.js is of course a niche, but it’s still the default framework for react right now which is the industry default for web development right now. This leads to lots of usage over a broad spectrum of skill and experience and lots of projects online without optimization

It’s not that hard to get good performance with Next.js (see screenshots for my website), it also provides some powerful tools like partial pre-rendering. But as it’s is the most popular framework the range of quality is of course pretty wide

Got myself a Samsung galaxy a5 for on device testing. Widely used, not too fast so you see perf issues earlier, but still fast enough that it’s not too painful to run dev tools on it

For me personally, RN has the better core principles in not recreating everything, but introducing a directing layer to control native elements

Good to see more devs take on pizza making 😀.
Here’s my last result, a margarita with a huge load of basil

Definitely yes for relevant and valid criticism, but I also feel like those are rare

Just because

That was a nice read, thank you.
Also I was trying to come up with a smart reply, on how file based routing could introduce overlaps with architecture, but at the end it’s still just an implementation detail
