If you have GERD, there are drugs that reduce acid production, unlike Tums which neutralizes acid after it is already produced. One popular one is the family of proton pump inhibitors (for example, the over-the-counter Nexium). Can have side effects from long term use.

I've been on proton pump inhibitors for over a quarter of a century, and I still need tums a few times a week.

I usually just disable joystick support in dosbos.conf and use JoyToKey to set up profiles for DOS games (and some non-DOS games too). I find it easier to use that compared to DosBox's own mapper. JoyToKey is one of the few utility apps that I went to the trouble of paying for registration of.

It's probably not the first one, but the one that sticks in my mind is Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight - specifically, I was very cheeped out by the giant flying insects and the water monsters.

Reminds me of some textbook description of American Gothic that went something like "At first glance, this is a painting of an old man and his wife, but if you look closely you'll see that it is clearly that of an old man and his daughter who is in her rebellious phase" or something like that.
