Right, beginning to catch up on upcoming by-elections. The double for Colinton and Fairmilehead (sure you haven't forgotten THIS happened; may have forgotten SNP councillor stood down too) is due on the 23rd of January. Had November been a two-fer, Labour would have won the second seat.

The real question for opponents of Scottish independence is what do other NW European nations have that makes them prosperous & successful but which Scotland lacks? Are crumbling public services & the growing chasm between rich & poor under Westminster really the best Scotland can aspire to?
