Sobering moment here in DC when Juan Manuel Santos & @BulletinAtomic moved the Doomsday clock forward because the world is going backward.
The #DoomsdayClock moves to 89 seconds to midnight.

Humanity stands closer to catastrophe than at any moment in its history.

How did we get here and what must we do now?

Chair of The Elders, Juan Manuel Santos, gives an urgent diagnosis.

Jimmy Carter was the embodiment of compassionate leadership, which is so lacking today. He truly cared about every human life.

His moral conviction will be missed.
On the day of Jimmy Carter’s state funeral, we remember his profound integrity and compassionate leadership. As a founding Elder, he championed peace and global solidarity, leaving an indelible mark on our mission and the world.
