I played the carillon at Westminster College in PA when I was a student several years ago. Honestly one of the coolest instruments I've had the pleasure of playing! I even got to premiere a duet that I wrote for it!

I find that music with lyrics in other languages that I don't speak helps! I enjoy the sound quality of vocals, but lyrics do get distracting.

I recommend anything by Christopher Tin. The majority of songs are not in English. Some are mostly instrumental.

I have several decks I use for different purposes. My first deck is used solely for personal readings. If I'm doing a reading for or about someone else, I have a few others that I cycle through. Ultimately it's important to do what feels right for you!
