Now I think about it...I live in the central North Island / Te Ika A Maui of Aotearoa / New Zealand (40.21° South), and in May 2024 during a major solar event, we experienced beautiful aurora. Very rare occurrence. Thanks for helping me understand this more.

I totally sympathise, Steven. I read constantly, but virtually nothing new, which is mostly crap. I rely on my collection of favourites, (Richard Condon, Mervyn Peake, Kurt Vonnegut, many others). They're so good I can read and re-read them in a ten-year cycle...with the occasional modern gem.
