A duo of OC portraits from 2021. My main goal with these was to try a different art style and to make some "happy" pieces, as I felt my art was lacking in that department. #furryart

It's being blown by the wind as it fades into the sunny background. Depicted is an anthropomorphic bat-eared fox character. They wear a mirthful expression, winking and excited. Their right ear is pierced with a golden ring and she wears a yellow scarf that wraps around her neck, which is draped over a blue poncho fit with a leather belt over the right shoulder. The poncho fades into a dusky background.

Depicted is the head of a maned wolf, looking upward towards a surreal sun. Their eyes become prisms of light as the sun "kisses" their forehead. The white fur tufts coming out of the ears form into smoke that rises above and cradles the sun. Two "arms," or solar prominences, extend downward in a "hugging gesture" around the maned wolf. A smaller detail on the top of the sun: there is a heart in the middle with two clawed hands seemingly "presenting" it. The design of the sun as a whole is meant to convey that it has a face. The swirls to the left and right, just above the maned wolf ears, are its eyes.

"My Head Is An Animal."

One more piece from earlier in the year that I felt like was almost finished, but I later decided to move on from it. With this, I wanted to continue practicing transitioning forms into smoke. #furryart
Depicted here is a maned wolf casually sitting atop a neck, in place of a human head. It watches the viewer with a neutral expression as smoke escapes its large ears. The base of the neck is set ablaze. The idea that it's like a wooden log that has been set on fire, along with a charred ring and flying embers. From the flames are plumes of smoke billowing out and around the subject in the form of a comfy seat.

Here's another unfinished personal piece from earlier this year that I thought was still worth sharing. I had a lot of fun with the colors on this one. The goal was to make a piece on introspection and feeling lost. #furryart

"Everything Will Be Okay."

A personal piece from earlier this year that I was particularly proud of. I don't consider it finished, but I like where I managed to get it. I wanted to make something about having hope in the face of depression, loneliness, and uncertainty. #furryart

Other details include smoke emitting from the maned wolf's ears, prominence-like arcs of flame curving into the shape of a three-leaf clover in the background, the sun behind the character's head and shoulders, a frozen hand clutching the maned wolf's knee that extends from the skull's eye with it shattering midway, and the jaw of the skull curling upwards behind the maned wolf as if in a last ditch effort to swallow them whole.
