my 2¢: hermits can decide to stop associating with an individual any time they want. doesn't matter how guilty they are, or how serious the offense is. they are a team and its their choice who to work with. "cancel culture" is just... communities' ability to self moderate.

For reference, most of the toki pona activity happens on Discord. We have a decent sub-demographic of Fedi users and have at times tried to establish communities in Mastodon (toki.social) and Matrix, but the community size never snowballed. Hopefully one succeeds on bluesky, but we'll see.
