Our students are learning podcasting! 🎙️
They’re gaining the tools to spark dialogue, ask bold questions, and most importantly, share their stories in their own voices.

We can’t wait to listen, learn, and be inspired. 💜

This impact is only possible because of you—our incredible partners and supporters. With your continued generosity, we plan to return to Nentekeny every month so even more families can access the care they deserve.

Together, we’re making healthcare accessible—one community at a time.

Our mobile medical outreach program ensures we can reach patients who may not be able to travel to our clinic. In just one day, our team served 182 patients, providing free medical care, consultations, and vital health education.

We recently held our second medical outreach at Nentekeny Comprehensive School in Transmara West, Narok County—bringing quality healthcare directly to the people who need it most.

We just hit 20k followers on Facebook! 🎉 We're so grateful for this growing community working toward a more equitable world.

Let’s keep it going! Tag a friend, share this video, and help us grow here on Bluesky, too! Together, we’re not just celebrating a number—we’re building a movement.

She says, “I look forward to giving back to my community by mentoring girls and supporting health programs.”

We're incredibly proud. From a rural Kenyan village to an advanced medical degree in Australia, Cynthia’s journey is a powerful testament to what’s possible when we invest in girls’ dreams.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Cynthia, one of our amazing alum who just graduated from University of Technology Sydney with a degree in nursing! Cynthia traveled all the way to Australia to pursue her dreams. Now she’s setting her sights on a postgrad degree in emergency nursing and rural health!

We're proud to support the wellbeing of our community. At the heart of our mission is the belief that better health leads to brighter futures—because a healthy community is a thriving one. A heartfelt thanks to all who attended & to our incredible medical team for making this outreach so impactful.

This week, our dedicated clinic team led a successful medical outreach in the Nentekeny area—providing essential checkups and treatment to more than 120 people. We also offered psychoeducational support to 450 students at Nentekeny Primary School.

We recently hosted a Linda Dada community sensitization workshop in the Enenkeshui area of Transmara, Kenya. We spoke with 176 women on a range of issues affecting adolescent girls in the community, from teen pregnancy to harmful practices like female genital mutilation (FGM).

Because our students live in remote areas and many families don’t have the means to travel, these trips open doors to new places and possibilities they might not otherwise get to see.

Here’s to more fun, educational journeys ahead!

Our recent adventure to Kisumu was a perfect example! From boat rides to spotting incredible wildlife at an animal sanctuary, and even a visit to the airport, our students had an unforgettable time learning through real-world experiences.

At our Centers for Excellence, learning goes far beyond the classroom. We believe in nurturing well-rounded students—so we don’t just focus on academics; we also create opportunities for exploration and joy through exciting field trips.

In her latest op-ed for @msmagazine.com, our founder reflects on what the world has—and hasn’t—learned since #COVID19 began. As #globalhealth funding dries up, it’s women and girls in the #GlobalSouth who are paying the highest price. Read her powerful call to action: msmagazine.com/2025/04/07/f...

Our high school #ClassOf2024 is wrapping up an intensive #computerliteracy training designed to serve them as they transition to college this fall. Tech skills are life skills—and we’re proud to be equipping girls in remote African communities with the tools they need to thrive in today’s world. 💻✨

We recently welcomed parents and guardians of our 4th–6th graders to KCE I for meaningful conversations on keeping girls safe over the April holiday, building strong family bonds, and preparing for the new term. Their support is the foundation of our girls’ success! #GirlsEducation #CommunitySupport

In recent weeks, we’ve met with women and men across Transmara West and South. We’ve been so inspired by the overwhelmingly positive response and the community’s willingness to embrace change. Next, we'll be connecting with youth during the April school holidays.

At Kakenya's Dream, we remain deeply committed to engaging our communities in open, meaningful conversations about harmful cultural practices like #childmarriage and #FGM through our Linda Dada campaign.
April 10, 2025 at 5:16 PM
At Kakenya’s Dream, we’re committed to changing that. We recently distributed over 1,000 sanitary pads to girls in Kisii and Narok counties—helping to ensure they can stay in school and manage their periods with dignity. Together, we can #endperiodpoverty and make sure no girl is left behind. 💪🚺❤️
April 9, 2025 at 5:12 PM
We're keeping girls in school, one pad at a time!

#Periodpoverty should never stand in the way of a girl's education. Yet in Kenya, 95% of menstruating girls miss 1–3 days of school during their period because they lack access to #menstrualhygiene products and safe, private bathroom facilities.

At Kakenya’s Dream, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. Seeing these girls learn, grow, and take steps toward a brighter future is what drives us every day! 🌟📚 #EducateGirls #LetGirlsLearn #EmpowerGirls

We couldn’t be prouder of our students' dedication and hard work. Last week, they completed their end-of-term exams, and now they're enjoying a well-earned break to rest, recharge, and return even stronger for term II.
