This piece took a totally different direction once I finished the line art. Wasn't even sure if color would be added at first! 😅 But, I'm so glad I did this "watercolor" wash, and I definitely agree that it pulls everything together! 😌

His motifs are represented as a viper and sun. The twin serpents reflect his interests in both crafting rare and poisonous concoctions and his childhood nickname. A golden sun ray not only frames him nicely, but it also stands for Rez's optimism and bright personality.
