The extruder is taller than the stock one, but I already had a riser I designed myself installed so there's plenty of room. But I did probably 30+ hours of printing this past week since I did the install and have had 0 problems.

I did the DXC extruder replacement mod for my Creality K1C. I've been using it for about a week now and it's been a great improvement. Haven't had any clogs especially compared to the stock extruder. It's not a very complex install but it was made harder because Creality put glue on the connectors.

The toy is branded as Kinetix. Kinetix was Autodesk's subdivision that sold/distributed 3D Studio Max and Character Studio. The original Dancing Baby model came as part of Character Studio. So I don't know if this was Autodesk/Kinetix trying to sell a toy for the fad, or if this is a promo item.

Industry has been like this for about 20 years now. It's nothing new. I went through this discussion in 2008 with my peers, and I know people who had this discussion in 2012, 2018, 2020, 2025. I was one who gave up my dream and ended up in a more stable much healthier career for it...
