I've attempted similar before but always at the end of the lecture - where it doesn't work because everyone's itching to head off. Now you've said it, it seems so obvious that it'd be better placed more in the middle of the session - will definitely try this next semester. Thank you!

This is a really interesting idea. What guidance did you give on question scope - from the feedback comments it looks like they could ask for clarification of the session content or any other query about the general subject/topic?
