I could hear Leticia Escobar's sniffles echo in the cathedral as the Reverend commemorated the life of Pope Francis who died hours earlier. She cried as we spoke, thinking of the "hope" he represented for marginalized people. She hoped it wouldn't be lost.

Bremerton’s only Municipal Court Judge, Tracy Flood, was suspended after a state commission recommended her removal to the State Supreme Court.

Flood was accused of mistreating her employees and crippling the court system.
