People are judgy about farmers, but they are the hardest-working members of society. My father is a college-educated, liberal-voting farmer in Kentucky. Maybe he’s an outlier. Maybe that doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, farmers are not your enemy. Bad policies and a bad administration are. 5/5

Yes, I understand modern agriculture has climate impacts. That is not the fault of individual farmers. Yes, I understand tariffs implemented by a man they may have voted for negatively affect them. But republicans pretend to show up for farmers, which the left could do more of. 4/5

2. American farmers work 80-hour weeks, sacrificing time with their families, for much less pay than a lawyer or doctor who works similar hours. This work keeps food on our tables, milk (dairy and non) in our lattes, and alcohol at our happy hours. 3/5
