I really enjoyed Lessons in Chemistry. I loved the protagonist, the love story was very sweet, and the parts about struggling as a mother- or a woman in general- were relatable IMO.

The Lovely Bones was also very good, but it can be difficult to read about a murdered child, you know?

The scene in Chainsaw where Jade is standing in the periphery of the party in her Michael Meyers outfit was so hilarious and heartbreaking. She is the ultimate final girl.

SGJ has become a favorite of mine. I’m looking forward to his upcoming novel.
