You are wrong. Look at polls. Look at the election results. Within two months there will be a vote on health care and the GOP will be on the wrong side. There approval ratings continue to sink. When the shutdown began to literally kill people who knows who Americans would blame. Dems locked in a win

Except they did not lose which we will be demonstrated next year. The American people now understand who is on the side of affordability and who is not. Who is responsible for their soaring premiums and who is not. And there will be a vote on subsidies in Jan or there will be a firestorm. We won.

What was the end game Steve? Starving children, planes falling from the skies and the criminal psychopath in the Oval NEVER agreeing to the subsidies? Dems by any reasonable measure won this fight. The affordability issue has been framed. The GOP is in deep political trouble.

Please. The GOP had already lost the shutdown fight as you noted. The affordability issue, now properly framed, is killing them politically and will continue to do so. Starving kids and planes falling from the sky is a legit. reason to end this. Dems have a soul. Not just about “winning.” And we won

And it was not achievable. Period. Full stop. What was achievable was achieved. And that was a great deal.
November 10, 2025 at 7:25 PM
No they did not. GOP badly lost this fight. The American people now clearly understand who is on the side of affordable health care and who is not as amply demonstrated by last week’s election results and the cratering polls. And the good news is that kids won’t starve and planes won’t crash.

Your inability to address the issue directly is telling. Do you want to win or whine about how things should be? GOP was never giving in. They have now been placed squarely on the wrong side of this issue. Hmmm. How do we know that??? Last Tuesday and every single poll that measures the issue.
November 10, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Wrong as the day is long. What happened last Tuesday? Do you follow the polls? The GOP is blamed for this. Ans there will be a health care vote in January that will again remind them. And their premiums are skyrocketing. Dems squeezed what they could from the shutdown without starving children.
November 10, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Yes. It is nice. In fact, its everything. In fact, nothing else matters. You want political power????? Framing the issue for the American people is your ticket to winning. The GOP despises Obamacare. They would not relent. Now we get a vote on it and the GOP is cratering. So yes. Ver very very nice
November 10, 2025 at 1:03 PM
And perhaps it should be but the shutdown fight was won by Dems. Undeniably. The issue of affordability and health care has been framed. Dems won. At least acknowledge that instead of being reflexively idealogical.

It was extraordinarily worthwhile. Look at the polls! Look at last week’s election results! The issues of affordability and issue of health care in particular has been framed and the GOP is in trouble. Dems won the shutdown fight.
