piece of work.
There's a moment during Michael Phelps' opening monologue in the episode of SNL he hosted in 2008, where he throws it to William Shatner in the audience, WHO, is standing next to a seated Guy Fieri.
So those three have at one time, been in the same room.
The world is crazy, and anything is possible.

Rob Reiner was a titan and a legend.
This is tragic and awful and so, so sad.

Welp. Tore through the Sean Combs: The Reckoning doc today.

It was absolutely infuriating, and I don't know where to put that energy. An intense and insane watch, and yet another wild reminder of what money and power can shield you from if you have crazy amounts of either, and especially both.

H.R. Giger’s Wikipedia entry is shamefully brief.

Someday kids, I’ll tell you all the story of being detained at customs in Mexico, the two jails I was taken to, the “judge,” the corruption, and the bribery that kept me from becoming a prisoner of Mexico.
It’s a goood story.

Niche Advice:
If you get new glasses but w/ the same frames you had again because your prescription changed but you liked the style, keep the old frames around because you might break an arm on the new glasses and if you have the old frames you can put the new lenses in those and go on w/ your life.

NEW HOODIE DAY.

Was about 60 pages deep in a new book, and suddenly had to take a moment because my brain had stopped processing words because it was busy remembering the audacity Mars Wrigley had when they changed the Green Skittle to APPLE for 8 WHOLE YEARS before finally reinstating lime in its rightful place.

Sometimes it's 4am, and you haven't slept well or long, and you know that there's no use in trying for more.
So you decide to watch a movie, maybe pay some bills, maybe do some laundry, maybe chop up some trinity for tonight's red beans and rice.
But what movie?
Today?
The Thomas Crown Affair.

I might be one of the last still making mix-tapes, but I was reminded tonight while crafting one for a beloved friend I see less often than I would like, that "You're So Vain" is such a HARD way to start the musical conversation you're about to have.

You establish dominance, and then they're yours.

It's WILD that they never once brought up how Chandler went to Yemen.

Ghislaine is either gonna get pardoned or get dead this summer.

Ever do a search for a celebrity you know HAS to be dead, and find out that indeed, they have passed, but you don't remember it being a THING at all when it happened? Someone that was a part of the zeitgeist, and then when they went, it was kinda nothing? Tonight for me, it was Florence Henderson.

Ever smell yourself after a nice shower, and be like:
"Man, really nailed it with the soap choice tonight."

Man.
Rest in Peace Jonathan Joss.
Thank you for all the work, but especially Ken Hotate, and fucking JOHN REDCORN.
What a legend.

If you're gonna sell a 4.5# bag of Haribo Gummi Bears for $12 bucks, I am going to buy it. That's less than 12 cents and ounce!
In other, somewhat related news, my gummi bear consumption has risen by about 1000% this past week.

How, and why, is the Bob's Burgers arrangement of "Mishima" better than Philip Glass' original?
When I saw the (best) episode of Bob's Burgers it's in I cried, of course.
Still watch once a year...
It's so beautiful the way they made it their own.
@lorenbouchard.bsky.social (and team) doesn't miss.

What I prepared for dinner vs. the linger scent in the kitchen is not equitable. Windows open and nothing? Free my kitchen!

ALSO, George and Nina Banks wouldn't have had that kid while Annie was also pregnant. They were too old and knew it. That mess? Nah, they would've ended that shit immediately.

The MacBook Air I got five-years ago and have WORKED wasn't taking a charge, so I was mentally preparing to spend $1700 on a new (refurbished) laptop.
Went to iFixit, ordered a part and tools for $60 bucks, watched a video, and replaced the USB-C/charging ports myself.
That did the trick!
Relief!

If-

The pharmacy recently changed its closing time to an earlier hour and
I'm only 7 minutes past that new earlier time and
My prescription is in both sight AND reach of the pharmacist and
The register is still on and
I made a special trip out for it...

They should let me pick up my prescription.

The current Wikipedia page for the TV show "Black Mirror" was mostly, if not entirely written by AI.

Credit card fraud is wild. Someone used a physical card to buy gas in my town this morning while my actual card was at home with me. No fraud alert, but I caught it, and the bank and I are cool. BUT, it's crazy someone had my info on a strip or chip or maybe just the numbers? I don't get it AT ALL.

Two episodes of The Pitt (the best show on TV right now) in a row is a whole lot to take in and go through. Not all, but so many emotions, and the pacing and flow are relentless. Excellent viewing, but I have to gear up for it, and can't do it at just any time. Worth checking out it you haven't.

Hulu crashed their live stream right before the Best Actress and Best Picture awards, so I'm choosing to believe they just decided not to give them out this year.

But seriously, Hulu, what a load of crap. Do your job.
