Yeah, big difference between her and civil servants like my dad is that she served 5 years and did nothing and will most likely have a pension just as big as my dad's, who served 33 years in the State Department and worked his butt off the entire time.

It's not a place that shows excessive mercy. To anyone. This is a place that expects people to follow the rules, and they're very harsh when those rules are broken.

Get caught, you fail the year. And if you have any other disciplinary issues in your record, you're expelled, tuition surrendered.
Needless to say, we've never had to press that button. But it's there.

The FCC has no real jurisdiction over the BBC, as it is a British news organization. They can try to get carriers to yank them, but again, the FCC has no real authority over cable and satellite carriers. They only have real authority over broadcast stations and networks.

Unlike the Reagan union busting firing back in the 80s, there is no reserve of ATC trained people (primarily military) to come in and take the place of the controllers that weren't rehired after the mass firing.
So, this'll basically cripple all air travel in America.
