In my opinion bad practice by RESTUD to only mention co-authors as "and others" in their emails. There should be enough space to mention all authors (at least up to a reasonable number like 4 or 5). @reveconstudies.bsky.social

How big are differences across groups? Very big. Discussions about Eastern and Southern Europeans are in almost 50% of cases about the economy. Discussions about Turks and Arabs are dominated by religion and a larger share of crime. Which tend to be the themes with much more negative sentiment.

There is more nuance yet. Studying how different immigrant groups are portrayed, we find striking differences between Southern Europeans, Eastern Europeans, Turks (largest group in Germany), and Arabs (large majority of refugees):

Now themes matter a lot, because the average sentiment (how positive or negative immigrants are portrayed) differs a lot between themes. E.g. Economy-welfare tends to be negative, those about work positive. Cultural integration is actually usually seen positively, but foreign religion negatively

2.) Theme shares do change over time, but a lot of the change is actually within the themes that would normally all counted as culture. We see in particular an increase in sentences about immigrant criminality, while the share about cultural integration decreases somehow. Religion &economy= constant

We study narratives in seven dimensions (more details in the paper). The key is that there is more nuance than just culture and economy, but there are sub-themes within those. This is what you see over that period.
1.) A strong increase in articles discussing immigration in Germany (salience up)

Does anyone have experience with @X API access? It is really confusing: Table states access to full-archive with Pro version, but details state only enterprise users (start at $42000) get it.
