I’ve raised 4 generations of Luna moths since April & released over 150 beauties into the wild night. In late October, my 62 cocoons decided “nope” & are overwintering, meaning they’ll just hang out in their sleeping bags until spring. I make sure they still wiggle every couple weeks. 💚#naturalist

I’ve been leaning into mosses and lichen lately. Parmeliaceae is a family of lichen that can grow and flourish just about anywhere, from tree canopies to in-between rocks. They thrive in a multitude of climates as well, ranging from the Arctic to the rainforest. #naturalist #nature #lichen
