Some additions to the new update! That <<FIRSTTRUE>> tag makes text follow the first link that evaluates to "True" just like empty passages did previously, except now you don't need an empty passage to do it! That teal banner appears on the passage when this is set up. <<RANDOM>> is also an option!

Here's some more pictures! They've got a little backpack that's removable and can actually open up! It's perfect for holding extra parts like the different mouths, and the sword & shield can attach to it, too!

Take a look at this amazing plush of my adventurer cat, made by @plushiluv.bsky.social!! They're poseable, have customizable expressions, can hold/wear props, stand on their own, and they're only around 10" tall!! Truly a feat of plush engineering, thank you so much!!

So does Godot just not let you work with really large tilemaps or did I just spend the last few months trusting that this system would hold up as I add more pixels. Also the terrain painting tool does Not scale lol. Also it crashes as I change values.

Ok, the Super Text Mesh update is done! The multiline best fit mode is out of beta and editor performance is really smooth now!

The game "gets it" in many other ways of course but this scene was just so highly specific to me in particular lol. So the impact UNDERTALE had on me is that I somehow felt seen and validated in a way I never even knew was important to me at that time.

That's not even the right pokemon... Was just thinking about how google translate could absolutely do this for pokemon a year or two ago but suddenly started just getting stuff incredibly wrong lol. Like it gets Zapdos right, but the other bird legendaries return as phonetic translations?

The changelog for Super Text Mesh v1.14.0 barely fits on my screen... and I've got a big screen!! I'm still on the fence if I should just name this v2.0 or not, but I feel I need a bit more to justify that... Plus, since I'm not planning on retiring v1 anyway, I guess I shouldn't worry abt that

This next STM update adds effect previews!! So making custom waves, draw animations, gradients, etc, is just *so* much easier, now. You can also pop out the effect editor as a separate window!

Added an option to render outlines and dropshadow at the *same time* to Super Text Mesh's Ultra shader! Unlike the old implementation, this also supports dropshadows sized up to match the outline's size if desired. Additionally, textured outlines and dropshadows are working just fine!

Pretty solid game awards apart from the AI-generated cat game sneaking in there and, well I mean how it's still just a big ad, but not *quiiiite* as blatant as prior years? The Okami sequel is something to really look forward to! Also I had Our Drawings playing in the corner for the entire duration

I love the soundburger, but since it has such a small turntable, slightly warped disks that would spin just fine on any other player end up doing this. If you think classical sounds bad, try guitar solos...

Still thinking about how good Working Buddies (and it's manga) was. I don't think I ever shared this, but I got my issues of the manga autographed by the illustrator when I went to Japan! I'm so grateful for all the crazy things that lined up on that trip.
