Did you know by the end of The Lord of the Rings, all 5 hobbits (including Bilbo) are related in some way or another. When Samwise’s daughter, Goldilocks, grows up she marries Pippin’s son, Faramir. So not only are Sam & Pippin joined in fellowship but also in family.

If I have to be sad everytime I think about this, then so do you. I can never get through Beren & Lúthien without tearing up bc the only thing I can think of at the end is when Tolkien wrote a letter to his son about Edith & their love.
